4 TIMES over the course of 2 months now JC Penney has delivered the WRONG MATTRESS! I have contacted them repeatedly about this, in store and in person, yet all I get is "this never happened before???" and then they reorder my mattress and it is wrong each time it is delivered! The incompetence is beyond comprehension at this point. I have not slept well in two months because I have not had the mattress I ordered!
Around the same time, I had washer and dryer delivered by Lowes..NO PROBLEM whatsoever,
JCPenney is my favorite store! I always get great merchandise at fabulous prices, especially on-line.
The salesman who waited on me was very nice and I will continue to shop at JCPennys.
Would NEVER purchase large appliances at this store. The purchase was simple, but delivery and pick-ups were a nightmare. The delivery men delivered a complete kitchen appliance package, but only installed the microwave. I then paid $400 to have a plumber install the rest since I didn't trust the delivery company. THEN, after realizing that the refrigerator had a defect, I went to the store to make an exchange. I was told that the defective refrigerator would be taken away when the new one was delivered. HOWEVER, the delivery company wouldn't take the original purchase. I called the appliance department. First, no answer.

Then the associate said he was busy and would call me back. He never did, so I had to go to the store regarding the issue (twice). The sales associate assured me that they would pick it up the next week. They came to my home, but said they couldn't take the appliance. This went on week after week after week. Long story short, not worth the trouble.
